Today Dmitry Pasler, the Governor of the Orenburg region, and Said Gutseriev, CEO of ForteInvest, held a working meeting at the Orsk oil refinery (an affiliate of ForteInvest, a member of SAFMAR industrial and financial group). The meeting was also attended by A. Borodin, Minister of Industry and Energy of the Orenburg region, V. Kozupitsa, Mayor of Orsk, and S. Krashchuk, Director General of Orsknefteorgsintez. In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed the investment projects of the enterprise and the plans of social and economic partnership between the region and ForteInvest Company.

Orsknefteorgsintez is one of the most actively developing enterprises of the Orenburg Region. The plant is implementing a large-scale modernization program with over RUB 70 bn. already invested to upgrade the production facilities. In 2020 a new stage of modernization was launched which includes the construction of a distillate hydrotreatment unit and the delayed coking unit, which will comprise 12 facilities. The project implementation will allow to launch production of light products from heavy residues and increase the oil refining depth.

During the meeting, representatives of the government and businessmen inspected the commissioned technological equipment which allowed Orsk oil refinery to increase the output of high-quality fuel grades and improve the characteristics of the produced oil products. Since the refinery development program is one of the top priorities of the region's industrial development, they also discussed the course of the new facilities construction.

Dmitry Pasler, the Governor of the region, confirmed his readiness to provide comprehensive support in the implementation of these projects. Said Gutseriev in his turn acknowledged the regional authorities and pointed out that the large-scale construction was in progress at the existing production facility. The plant continues production of in-demand high-quality fuel that meets modern environmental standards. Great attention is paid to compliance with the requirements of labor protection, industrial and environmental safety at the construction and production sites.

The implementation of the Modernization Program of technological capacities to 2023 will allow the Orsk Oil Refinery to rank among the leading oil refineries. Due to the commissioning of the DCU facilities, the oil refining depth at the enterprise will increase to 98.69%, the light petroleum products selection to 87%.
