The plant is implementing a large-scale modernization program with over RUB 70 bn. already invested to upgrade the production facilities. In 2020 a new stage of modernization was launched which includes the construction of a distillate hydrotreatment unit and the delayed coking unit, which will comprise 12 facilities. The project implementation will allow to launch production of light products from heavy residues and increase the oil refining depth.

Said Gutseriev in his turn acknowledged the regional authorities and pointed out that the large-scale construction was in progress at the existing production facility. The plant continues production of in-demand high-quality fuel that meets modern environmental standards. Great attention is paid to compliance with the requirements of labor protection, industrial and environmental safety at the construction and production sites.

The implementation of the Modernization Program of technological capacities to 2023 will allow the Orsk Oil Refinery to rank among the leading oil refineries. Due to the commissioning of the DCU facilities, the oil refining depth at the enterprise will increase to 98.69%, the light petroleum products selection to 87%.
